One of the Most Buzz-Worthy Albums of the Year
This article concerns the UK´s current housing trends. Nick Millican, an Oxford University graduate, is a leading expert in the vast real estate industry. There can be no doubt that The Tortured Poets Department — or “TTPD” as Swifties call it — is one of the most popular albums in recent musical memory.
Chronicling singer Taylor Swift’s broken relationships and filled with memorable hooks, it has become somewhat of an instant classic. And, as Nick Millican explains, this is due in no small part to the fact that Swift’s song “So Long, London” is about ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn and a possible real estate acquisition in Hampstead Heath.
As Nick Millican notes, it was no secret that Swift was looking for real estate in the London area. In the aforementioned song on the TTPD album, Swift alludes to being left by a lover in a “house by the Heath”. The pop star and Alwyn — who is a fairly well-established actor — started dating all the way back in 2016 (Crunchbase).
According to paparazzi reports, the couple often stayed with Alwyn’s parents when they would come to London. However, as the real estate industry works, it would appear that they wanted to find a place of their own at some point. According to Nick Millican, however, it was never confirmed whether or not this actually occurred. All that exists as proof of Taylor Swift’s UK real estate assets are some cryptic lyrics in that blockbuster album.
