Muslim Pro App Enhances Privacy Features Following User Feedback
The Muslim Pro App, with over 170 million downloads globally, has strengthened its data protection measures in response to user concerns, establishing itself as a leader in privacy protection among faith-based applications.
Muslim Pro App Prioritizes User Data Security
For members of faith communities, data privacy carries particular significance. “What they’re doing, what they’re searching for, how they’re practicing their faith is sensitive information,” explains Nafees Khundker, CEO and group managing director of the Muslim Pro App.
The company has implemented comprehensive measures to protect user information, including giving users full control over what data is collected and why. When location services are enabled—necessary for providing accurate prayer times—personal information is automatically anonymized.
“If the person says, ‘I am now in Singapore; what are the prayer times here?’ but tomorrow the person is in Indonesia and changes the location, we don’t keep the information for Singapore,” Khundker clarifies. “We have only the last location the user asked us for.”
Enhanced Due Diligence Transforms Muslim Pro App Partnerships
Following privacy concerns in 2020, the Muslim Pro team established rigorous protocols for evaluating potential partners. The company now conducts thorough due diligence on all collaborators before entering agreements.
“We do a way more thorough due diligence on everyone before we start working with them,” Khundker states. The process includes initial desktop research into a company’s history, followed by examining their core values, purpose, and data policies to ensure alignment with Muslim Pro’s standards.
The company has also improved its internal data governance, with very few team members having access to individual user data—a restriction that applies even to the CEO. “Even I don’t have access,” Khundker notes.
These improvements reflect Muslim Pro’s commitment to maintaining user trust while delivering essential services to the global Muslim community. The app continues to adhere to stringent data protection regulations, including PDPA and GDPR, across its operations in markets like the US, UK, and Singapore.
By strengthening privacy protections while expanding its suite of features, the Muslim Pro App demonstrates how faith-based digital platforms can balance innovation with respect for user privacy in an increasingly connected world.
